Ernie Wheelus, 76, of Hemet, died Nov. 14, 2009, at his home in Hemet.
No services are planned, and interment is private. Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet is handling arrangements.
Mr. Wheelus, who was born in Oklahoma, lived in Hemet 27 years. He was a chef for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Laura Hamilton and Ernie Jr.; a brother, Lester Ross; two sisters, Dorese Sheldon and Donna Ray; and four grandchildren.
