elmercordray.jpg Elmer Frederick Cordray of Hemet passed away on February 4, 2010 in Hemet. Elmer was born July 15, 1921 in Morrison, Missouri to Fred and Mary Cordray.

Elmer served in the Navy during WWII. In 1946 he married Viola Luise Beul. In 1955, they moved to Covina, California. He worked as a teacher and counselor with the Azusa Unified School District. They were active at the Covina Methodist Church for 30 years. After retirement they moved to Hemet where he was an active member of Hemet United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at Hemet United Methodist Church. McWane Family Funeral is handling the arrangements.

Elmer is survived by his wife, Vi of 63 yrs; four daughters and one son. Marilyn Belcher of Lebanon, OR; Joan Mimiaga of Bend, OR; Gail Valenti of Alta Loma, CA. Connie Harrison of Scottsdale, AZ; and Ken Cordray and fiancé, Sharon. Three son-in-laws, Andy, Bob, and Bob; ten grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother, Calvin of Jefferson City, MO.In Lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Hemet United Methodist Church.
