Elias “Lee” Avila age 83, lifetime resident of Riverside, CA, passed away 12/11/2009 at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda, CA. Lee was born 01/12/1926 in Riverside, CA.

He retired from Kaiser Steel and Riverside School District. He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Riverside.

Lee is survived by his wife, Stella Avila; daughters, Patricia Andrade and Stephanie Carter; sons, Samuel, Michael, Gerald Hugo, Stanley, Stephan Dido and William Avila; brothers, Raoul and Joe Avila; very special family, Cheryl and Henry Duro.

Visitation Mon, 12/21/09 from 9-11am with Rosary at 10:30am and Mass at 11am, all at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial following mass at Riverside National Cemetery, Assembly Area #4 with Full Military Honors at 12:45pm. Preston and Simons Mortuary Funeral Directors (951) 683-7410
