Eleanor Jackson was born on March 27, 1914 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to her much loved parents, Glenn and Bertha Laughton. She went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2009, from Yorba Linda, California.
Eleanor is survived by her 4 sons Orlin, Jr. (Joyce M.), Philip Dean, Dennis (Susan), & Charles Lee; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and Brother Glenroy “Bud” Laughton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Orlin Jackson, Sr. and Sister, Rowena.
Eleanor was a very independent lady and was very loyal to her family and friends. Professionally she worked at Victor’s Flowers in Lakewood for 25 years. She enjoyed flowers, traveling and making clothes for her granddaughters. Above all these things, she loved to support her children and grandchildren in their endeavors.
Her family and friends will miss her thoughtful spirit, even as seen in the faithfulness and generosity shown by remembering birthdays and anniversaries. As a Christian believer, Eleanor had been a faithful and active part of Canyon Lake Community Church for about thirty years. She enjoyed the church services and Bible study groups.
Prior to that she was a soldier in The Salvation Army in Long Beach, California where she was active as a youth Bible leader and Sunday School teacher.
A viewing will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Canyon Lake Community Church. The burial will follow at Menifee Valley Memorial Park. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Canyon Lake Community Church children’s Ministries. Evans Brown Mortuary (951) 679-1114 Dignified • Caring • Professional
