Elaine Goodwin Leabman was born on January 30, 1942 in Willimatic, Connecticut to Melvin and Dorothy May Doerr and passed away peacefully November 10, 2009. Elaine died at home in the company of her husband, family, good friends, and her animals that she dearly loved.
A resident of Cherry Valley for more than 20 years, Elaine was a constant source of happiness for many in this small community. Elaine was a woman of understated grace and elegance, who’s hobbies included painting, gardening, traveling throughout the world, the love of good food, Friday night martinis with her girlfriends, but especially providing a loving home for all her animals.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Leon; brother, Bryan, as well as several step-children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Elaine will be laid to rest November 20, 2009 at 1:30pm. The service will take place at San Gorgonio Memorial Park, which is located at 2201 N. San Gorgonio, Banning, CA. In lieu of flowers Elaine has requested that donations be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741. Weaver Mortuary Beaumont, CA (951) 845-1141
