Edna Dean Morris was born in Mangum, OK on December 10, 1922. She went home to her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2009 in Riverside, CA.

Edna accepted the Lord and was baptized at the age of twelve. She was a faithful servant to her Savior and a tremendous prayer warrior.

In March of 1945 she married her fiancé, Joe Wayne Morris, who made a bee line to her after serving in World War II. They spent their honeymoon holding hands across the aisle of a packed bus while on the way to California to see Wayne’s parents.

Wayne passed away in 1998, but together they served the Lord for over 53 years in three separate churches; First Southern Baptist Church, Altus, OK, First Southern Baptist Church, La Habra, CA and First Baptist Church, Moreno Valley, CA.

Edna had a beautiful singing voice and sang in choirs and with Wayne ministered in convalescence homes, hospitals and prison ministries. After Edna raised her children she worked as a home health care nurse for numerous years.

Edna is survived by her son, Eddie Morris (Julia) of Oceanside; her daughter Mary Sue Nunnally (Gary) of Riverside; four grandchildren and her sister, Mildred Brewer of Texas.
