David Mackay Ramsay 86, passed away 11/11/08. David was born on 9/14/1922 in Milton, MA.

He was a resident of Riverside for the past 64 years. He served in the US Army during WWII earning the rank of Corporal. Dave was a Fire Engineer for the Riverside City Fire Department for 30 years, retiring in 1978.

Prior to service on the Fire Department, he worked as a counselor for boys ages 6-11 years at Riverside County Juvenile Hall. In his retirement, Dave enjoyed furniture reupholstery, golf and bridge. He was a 42 year member of the Elks Club Lodge 643 and past Elk of the Year.

Dave is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Linsee Ramsay, Arcadia; son and daughter-in-law, Mack and Diana Ramsay, Costa Mesa; two grandsons, James and Taylor.

A Memorial Service will take place on 11/29/08 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 4845 Brockton Ave, Riverside. A private burial will take place at Riverside National Cemetery. Arlington Mortuary Directors 1-800-275-4648
