CHP plans Riverside-area DUI checkpoint

chpimage1.jpg The following information has been provided by the California Highway Patrol Riverside division:

The California Highway Patrol will conduct a sobriety checkpoint and driver’s license inspection on Friday, July 3, 2009 in the northern area of Riverside County.

The sobriety checkpoint will be staffed by California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers who are trained in the detection of alcohol and/or drug impaired drivers. The officers will be equipped with state of the art, hand held breath testing devices which provide an accurate measure of blood alcohol concentrations of drivers suspected of being under the influence.

The checkpoint will be operated from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
