charlesrose.jpg Charles Rose of Riverside, CA, passed away 12/09/2009. He was 81. Charles was born on 08/04/1928 in Washington, Indiana.

Charles served in the United States Air Force for 21½ years. He retired at Vandenberg AFB in 1966 and had achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He had been stationed in California, New York, Greenland, Arizona and Japan. Charles received many awards, medals and certificates. After retiring from the Air Force, Charles was employed by Pinkerton Security and the Corona Water Treatment Facility.

Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 61 years and their children; Mary Lou Adair, Terry Rose, Dena Sam, Diana Alexander and Randy Rose and their grandchildren; Jason Sam, Zackary Alexander and Alexis Alexander.

He is also survived by three sisters, Mary Schutta, Jo Ann Butler, and Catherine Queen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by both parents, a sister and a brother.

One of Charles’ greatest passions was working in his garden and caring for his flowers and fruit trees. He shared this special love with his children and grandchildren.
