Cecil Murray 76, passed away Nov. 6, 2009 in Redlands, California surrounded by family. Born Dec. 5, 1932 in Canute, Oklahoma to Burt & Jessie Murray; the family then moved to California in 1936.
He graduated from Colton HS in 1951 and was a successful business man as owner and president of Murray’s Hotel & Restaurant Supply Co, Inc in Colton, California.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Murray of 53 years, and his four children: Terry Murray of Apple Valley, Randy Murray of Yucaipa, Daughter Melinda and her husband Russ Adams of Yucaipa, and Brian Murray of Redlands, along with 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren plus one more on the way.
Cecil enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, cards, farming, but most importantly spending time with his family and friends. He was in the US Navy, Colton Jaycees President, Colton Rotary Club President, Colton Chamber of Commerce President, Colton Boat & Ski Club Commodore, board member of Goodwill Industries, Republican Central Committee board member, recognized in “Outstanding Young Men of America, 1968″, member of Arrowhead Country Club, and a member of the Orchid Society.
There will be a viewing at Montecito Memorial Mortuary on Wednesday Nov. 11 at 4:00-8:00 pm and Services on Friday, Nov. 13th at 1:00 pm at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, California.
