Cartwright Hunter, age 98, of Palm Desert, CA, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Manor Care in Palm Desert. He was born on Friday, January 13, 1911 in New York, New York to the late George W. and Emily Isabelle Hunter.

Hunter volunteered his time and love to numerous places. He was voted Volunteer of the Year in Palm Desert.

Hunter is survived by his three daughters; JoAnne McConnell, Judy Rawles, Prudence Dupee, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many friends.

He will be missed by all who loved him and the many lives he touched.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
