Carmelita Veronica Goodpasture 63, of Pala, passed away on January 3, 2009. Born in Upland, CA on July 18, 1945, she lived in San Diego County for most of her life.

She worked for many years as a Certified Nurses Assistant, and was a homemaker. She has a magnetic personality and will be greatly missed.

Carmelita was preceded in death by her daughter Shawna Hann in 2006.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jim Goodpasture, of Pala, Son James( and wife Misty) Goodpasture of Pala, grandchildren Justin Hann, Shawna and Stephanie Goodpasture, great grandchildren James Miramontes and Nayeli Hann of Pala, and 5 brothers.

Memorial Contributions can be made in her memory to the City of Hope, Attn. Central Processing, 1500 E. Duarte Rd., Duarte, CA 91010. A vigil and rosary will take place at 6:00 PM, Friday, Jan. 9, at the Pala Mission. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, 10:00 AM at the Pala Mission.
