A dramatic car accident left the driver in the hospital and in trouble for driving under the influence.
According to the Riverside Police Department, a car was headed south on Orange Street near Castaic Street when the driver lost control at approximately 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
The car rolled seven to eight times, shearing off a telephone poll. It then bounced off a house and landed on the front doorstep. The driver and two passengers survived, but the driver was place under arrest for DUI and admitted to Riverside Community Hospital.
Police stayed at the scene because of the downed power lines until an AT&T crew arrived at 5:30 a.m.
