A minor earthquake occurred at 9:38 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, in Calexico. It had a magnitude of 3.0, according to the USGS.

Another stronger quake hit the same region at 3:54 a.m. on Sunday, January 31. It had a magnitude of 3.3 according to the USGS.

Calexico is 40 miles from Yuma, Arizona.
