Arthur Moreno

Arthur Moreno age 83, died at home on Sunday, June 28th, 2009. Arthur was born on March 17, 1926 in Agua Calientes, Mexico.

He was the 7th of 8 children. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corp at 18 years old and fought in the South Pacific in World War II. He then graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in engineering and later worked for the City of Los Angeles for 31 years.

He loved to race sailboats and won several races to Hawaii and Mexico. He also was an avid golfer, softball player and horseman.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence Krolikowski Moreno; his three children, Kathryn, Michael and Deborah; a son-in-law, David and five grandchildren, Jennifer Lyons, Katie, Jeffrey, Michael and Braden.

Two sisters, Celia and Anna, also survive him along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be held at 7:00pm on July 6th at Evans Brown Mortuary in Sun City. Mass will be July 7th at 10:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Sun City.
