The Inland Empire Arthritis Foundation on Sunday hosted its 14th annual Taste of the Towns, bringing together more than 20 of Riverside’s best-known restaurants.
The restaurants served bite-sized samples to people who paid $100 each outside the Riverside Convention Center.
The event raised $50,000, according to Catherine Grinnan, executive director of the Inland Empire Arthritis Foundation.
PHOOD on Main served samples of two very different menu items; a super-sweet custard, along with generous bowls of gumbo. Bobby Bratton of Grams Mission BBQ offered pasta and barbecue items from his standard menu. Mario’s Place held court with a sweet corn chowder and shrimp, while Saffron’s leaned toward dessert offerings — specifically, cookies.
