The 2009 District Employees’ Holiday Craft, Gift, & Food Faire will be held Thursday, November 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Anton Elementary School.

Each year, the San Bernardino City Unified School District holds a holiday faire where employees sell their crafts and wares, including handmade holiday decorations, knitting & crocheting, and baked goods.

Proceeds from this year’s vendor fees and raffle will support the San Bernardino Community Scholarship Association, which intends to award a brand new scholarship in 2010. The Scholarship Association is a non-profit organization that coordinates scholarship donations from local organizations, businesses, and individuals.

For more than 50 years, the Scholarship Association has provided college scholarships to high school seniors, with individual scholarships ranging from $100 to $9,000. About 150 members donate more than $200,000 annually to San Bernardino City Unified School District graduates, regardless of financial need.

Anton Elementary School is located at 1501 Anton Court, east of Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino.
