Anita Martinez age 81, longtime resident of Chino, and more recently of Corona, entered eternal rest on Friday at home. She was born in Baldwin Park.
She was the daughter of Antonio and Inocencia Cortez. Anita had lived for many years in the Chino area, where she was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Parish. She retired after more than 25 dedicated years of service from the California Institute For Women in Chino.
A devoted mother to her 11 children and more than 80 grandchildren, Anita was “the heart” of her family. She loved spending time with her kids, she was a devout Lakers fan, who also enjoyed the Angels and she was fascinated by butterflies.
She leaves behind 10 children, daughters Juanita, Kathy, Helen, Gina and Patty, sons Mario “Timmy”, Gilbert, Manny, David and Joey, 30 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
Anita now joins her late parents, husband Manuel and beloved son Albert in eternity. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Walker Family Funeral Services.
