“Making Yourself Marketable” is the title of a five-part workshop offered by Altura Credit Union that pulls together the skills most needed for job-hunting in the current economy.

The “Altura Academy” focuses on resume writing, networking and interviewing skills. It also provides individualized feedback on resumes and the opportunity to practice interviewing skills with professional job recruiters.

Classes meet from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Altura Credit Union’s 14th Street branch, 3451 14th St. in Riverside. The upcoming workshop dates are scheduled for February 10, February 17, and February 24.

“The unemployment rate in the Inland Empire continues to be among the highest in the country, but there are jobs out there,” said Dana Moore, recruiter, Human Resources, Altura Credit Union, and a workshop instructor. “With a clearer understanding of today’s job hunting techniques, people will have a better chance of landing a job.”

Altura Academy is free for Altura members. Non-members pay $20, $12 of which is applied toward Altura membership. Altura is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school or worships in Riverside or San Diego counties, and certain cities in San Bernardino and Orange counties.

Reservations are required, and can be made by calling Ricki McManuis at 951-571-5310.
