KVCR-TV is the Inland Empire’s PBS affiliate. It airs a diverse mix of programming with an accent on subjects of interest to people in the IE. Acclaimed PBSKids! Programs such as “Sesame Street”, “Mister Rodgers’ Neighborhood”, “Clifford the Big Red Dog”; PBS favorites like “Great Performances”, “Nature” and “Charlie Rose”; classic series such as “The Lawrence Welk Show” and “Northern Exposure”; and now, exclusive topical Inland Empire programming produced by InstantRiverside.com.
KVCR-TV reaches viewers in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, nearly all of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, and a large portion of Ventura County.
KVCR-TV broadcasts over the air in standard definition (analog) on Channel 24 and in high definition (HD) on 24.1. Repeaters in communities from Seal Beach to Lake Arrowhead to Palm Springs give KVCR-TV’s over-the-air signal greater reach. KVCR-TV is part of local-station packages on both DirecTV and Dish Network and the station occupies Channel 24 on many Southern California cable TV systems. You can watch Instant IE News weeknights at 6:25 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. as well as Fridays at 6:25 p.m. and 8:56 p.m.
In 2008, we expect to produce a significantly larger amount of non-fiction programming for KVCR-TV on a range of subjects.Two specials are scheduled for broadcast this summer:
“Going Green in the IE,” July 6 at 2 p.m.
“Instant Wheels at the Inland Empire Auto Show,” July 5 at 4:30 p.m.
