Wilburn Dale Bryant

wilburnbryant.jpg Wilburn Dale Bryant,  beloved husband, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on November 5, 2008 at the age of 87.  Wilburn was born on January 25, 1921 of a family of 12 brothers and sisters in Everton, Missouri.  He is proceeded in death by his parents, Willie and Lula (Thomason)  He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Josephine Louise (Richardson) Bryant.  He is also survived by his children, Kenneth Dale Bryant, Wilburn Lloyd Bryant,  Alvin and his wife JoAnn Bryant, Mary and her husband Harold Davis, Billy and his wife Diane Bryant.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kenneth Bryant, Shawn and Loni Bryant, Scott and Stephanie Bryant, Christina and Adam Arce, Charity and Zach Mellow, Jeremiah and Sati Davis, Nathan Bryant, Elli Rak, Cari and Fidel Villalobos, Christopher and Erica Bryant, Colleen and Christopher Lemon and Amanda and Ian Lake.  He adored his 23 great-grand children and 1 great, great grandchild.

Wilburn served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre.  He earned numerous medals as an Army Medic.  He was a resident of Perris since 1946 and worked in the farming industry for over 60 years.  He was employed for Charlie & Ottie Motte for over 35 years as their care-taker until he retired in 2001.  He was a man who loved his family and friends.  He was considered a hard working and loyal man.  Whether as a farmer or as a soldeir in the war his tireless efforts reflected his love of nature and the outdoors.

The Bryants traveled numerous times to Missouri over the years to visit his hometown and his family.  He also leaves behind one living brother Leon and his wife Opal Bryant.  He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 10:00 am; Funeral services at 11:00 am at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd. Sun City, CA.  Interment will take place privately at Riverside National Cemetery.
