Rudolf "Rudy" Guerrero

rudyguerro.jpgRudolf “Rudy” Guerrero passed away on June 13, 2012 in Riverside, CA at the age of 85. Born in Belltown, CA on March 21, 1927.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army as an Artillery Parachutist from 1945-1947, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Rudy retired after 42 years of service (1947-1989) as a welder, boiler maker, journeyman and diesel mechanic from the Riverside Cement Co.

Rudy was preceded in death by his son; Melvin Guerrero in 1996 and great-great granddaughter Aryanna Sanchez in 2004.

He is survived by his wife Lupe Guerrero; sons Rudy Guerrero of Rubidoux, CA and Robert Aguilar (Marie) of Riverside; daughter Lillian Cabrera of Riverside, CA; 11 grandsons; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; brother Raymond Guerrero and sister Mary Vargas of Riverside; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing: June 25, 2012, 4-8pm at Arlington Mortuary, 9645 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA. Memorial Service: June 26, 2012 at 10am at Arlington Mortuary and interment will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery at 12pm.
