Nema Griffith age 89, of Corona, California, passed away at her home on June 15, 2012 with Hospice and family by her side. She was born January 14, 1923 in Farmersburg, Indiana, daughter of Roy A. Jewell and Mamie Taylor Jewell.

Nema worked for the Corona/Norco Unified School District for 20 years; she began as a kitchen worker in 1960 and moved her way up to an Executive Secretary for the superintendent of schools; Augie Ramirez. She was an active member of The Church of Latter Day Saints in Corona.

Nema was preceded in death by her first husband Linzy I. Trueblood, who passed in 1978. And it was less than a month ago that she suffered the loss of her husband of 24 years, Charles “Mack” Griffith on May 17.

Surviving are son, Brent Alan Trueblood; daughter, Julie Trueblood, both of Corona; step children Ann Morschl and Barbara Malmberg of Riverside, and Allen Griffith of Yorba Linda; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Family and Friends will be received at Thomas Miller Mortuary, 1118 E. Sixth St., Corona, CA on Friday, June 22, 2012 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm. Services will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary, June 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Bishop Drew Dallenbach officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside, CA In lieu of flowers please send donations to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or The American Heart Association (www.heart.org) in Nema’s honor.
