Vaino Johannes Perkioniemi passed away May 7, 2012 in Loma Linda, CA at the age of 93 years. Born August 9, 1928 in Finland he had lived in Riverside for 4 years, moving from Michigan where he resided for 72 years.

He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII receiving an honorable discharge. He then became a painter retiring after 25 years.

He is survived by his loving sons Eric and his wife Laura of Livonia, MI, John of Mt. Prospect, IL., Robert, Sr. and his wife Linda of Riverside and David of Southfield, MI. Grandfather of Jarod, Kristen, Caitlin and Joseph.

Also a host of relatives in Finland and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ulla of 48 years.

Also his parents. Vihtori and Matlida (Kalliomaki) Perkioniemi; brothers Vihtori, Lauri and Kalle-Erik; sisters Lydia, Marta and Elli; daughter-in-law Christine and grandson Robert Jr.
