Richard Donald Flyyn, Sr. passed away peacefully on April 11, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born in Rutland, IL on April 27, 1928, son of Thomas Edward Flynn and Mayme Elmore .

Richard joined the US Navy in 1946. He met his wife Betty in 1947 and they were married shortly after in 1948. They moved from Illinois to Cypress in 1966 and to Corona in 1976. Richard was a life time member of the American Legion.

Surviving are wife, Betty Lou Flynn; 4 sons; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
