John Arthur Lautenbach, age 94, of Homeland, CA, for 33 years passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Menifee Valley Medical Center . John was born February 6, 1918 in Marne, Michigan.

He was the son of the late Steven Lautenbach and the late Jessie (White) Lautenbach. John was an engineer in the aerospace profession most of his life until he retired in 1978. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, photography, gardening and did some traveling around the world.

John was also past president of the Social Club at Highland Palms in Homeland, mens golf club and Golden Quail Club. He was very thoughtful, kind, funny and was always there to help when needed. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Hemet. He was preceded in death by his siblings Charles Lautenbach and Ione Taggart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Ione Lautenbach. One son Donald wife Saroeun Lautenbach, Sun City, CA; one grandaughter Nancy Lautenbach.
