Connie Cohen went to be with the Lord on Jan. 5, 2012, surrounded by her loving family members at the age of 54, after battling a long illness. She was born in LA County where she resided most of her life.
After working in various fast food restaurants, she became the co-owner of the Original Hamburger Stand in Baldwin Park. Later in life she became a CNA and eventually a HHA where she worked at Encore Senior Living in Riverside and at Goldridge Memory Care in Soulsbyville, CA.
Connie’s passion was always to care for seniors with dementia. Connie is survived by her son Richard A. Cohen and her daughter Misty and Gary Warren of Moreno Valley, CA.
Her granddaughter Destiny Marie preceded her in death.
Connie is also survived by 3 sisters; Eva and Bob Passwater of Ontario, CA, Debra and Bill Casselman of Bullhead City, AZ, Brenda Barnhart of Sonora, CA, 3 brothers; Richard Burgon of El Dorado Hills, CA, Glenn and Judy Shay of Vancouver, WA, Chris and Jeanean Burgon of Stevenson, WA, and various nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie was a loving mother, sister and friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at Rose Hills at the Hillside Chapel in Whittier, CA on Sat. Jan. 14, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. with reception to follow at Rose Hills.
