Daniel “Bocephus” Eugene Valdez, Jr., 23, of Hemet, died Jan. 27, 2010, in Beaumont.

Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 5, at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Inland Memorial Harford Chapel in Hemet is handling arrangements.

Mr. Valdez, who was born in Hemet, lived in the San Jacinto Valley for 23 years. He worked in the food service industry for five years.

He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family members. He also enjoyed playing Xbox and caring for his two dogs, Casey and Red. He was a 2004 San Jacinto High School graduate.

Mr. Valdez is survived by his parents, Daniel Valdez Sr. of Hemet and Shari Bryant of San Jacinto; a brother, Joshua Bryant of San Jacinto; a sister, Chantae Valdez of San Jacinto; two grandmothers, Otila Flores of San Jacinto and Claudean Gordon of Redlands; two nieces; three aunts; two uncles; and many cousins.
