Man arrested in Blythe for knife and attempt to bring drugs into jail

News headline from the Riverside Sheriff’s Department:

On Monday, February 3, about 2:45 a.m., a patrol deputy conducted a pedestrian check on a man walking along Riverside Avenue, east of Ehlers Boulevard.

The man was identified as Eyner Alamilla, of Blythe. The deputy discovered Alamilla was allegedly in possession of an illegal knife. Alamilla was arrested for having the knife.

Alamilla possessed a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and illegal drug paraphernalia. The deputy transported Alamilla to the Colorado River Station for further investigation and booking into the Blythe Jail.

During the booking process at the Blythe Jail, a jail deputy located illegal drugs that Alamilla had hidden upon his body.

Alamilla was also charged with knowingly bringing illegal drugs into a jail facility.
