Hot, windy conditions predicted throughout the weekend have Southern California fire crews on alert.
The National Weather Service has issued a red-flag fire warning through 6 p.m. Sunday for all of western Riverside County; southwestern San Bernardino County mountain and valley areas;Orange County; and valleys and mountains of San Diego County.
Federal firefighters will be among those responding to blazes, even though their pay will be held up by the government shutdown.
A fire was reported late Friday afternoon in Good Hope, but no structures were threatened.
