As of 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday the fire burning near Hemet is estimated at 5000, according to Riverside County Fire officials.
One report suggests that several structures have been damaged in Twin Pines. And it has been confirmed that a firefighter and one person have been injured.
The firefighter was transported by ground ambulance and the civilian was transported by ground ambulance to a waiting air ambulance. Their exact injuries are unknown, according to CAL Fire.
Cars are being stopped at Highway 243 between Banning and Azalea Trail in Poppet Flats.
It is believed the fire started near Wolfskill Truck Trail and Mt. Edna Road . It was reported around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
