Performance Riverside presents musical comedy ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’

Announcement from Performance Riverside:

2012-11-8-spellingbee.jpgFor the second show of their 2012-2013 season, Performance Riverside presents Tony Award winner The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at RCC’s Landis Performing Arts Center, located at 4800 Magnolia Avenue in Riverside.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.  Along the way, they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.

For this quirky yet charming cast of outsiders, a spelling bee becomes the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.

The show is based on the book by Rachel Sheinkin, with music and lyrics by William Finn.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opens Friday, November 9th and runs for two weekends.

Evening shows are November 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 8:00 p.m.; and matinees are November 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets start at $28 and can be purchased online by clicking HERE, or in person at the Box Office or call 951-222-8100.

This show is rated PG-13 for language and content.
