News headline from the Riverside Police Department:
On October 13th at around 7:00 a.m., a 9-1-1 call was received reporting that a body had been found in a field area near Tyler Street and Jurupa Avenue in Riverside, not far from the Santa Ana River.
Patrol officers responded to the area and located a deceased person in the field.
Detectives from the Robbery/Homicide Unit responded along with technicians from the Forensic Unit and are currently investigating.
The body has not been identified and due to it’s condition, the race, gender and age has not been determined. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office will release additional information on the identity of the subject when it becomes available.
