On Wednesday, October 10, at 2:27 p.m., three female students were walking east on the south sidewalk of Baseline Road.
Cory Holker was driving a Silver Toyota Camry east on Baseline Road., passing Alta Loma High School. Holker was in the #2 lane and moved into the #1 lane to pass a slower vehicle.
In the process of moving back to the #2 lane, Holker lost control of the vehicle and jumped the south side curb of Baseline Road. and struck a tree. After the front of the vehicle struck the tree, the rear end spun around and struck all three juveniles.
All three juveniles were injured and transported by ambulance to local hospitals. One of the victims suffered a broken leg and the others are continuing to be evaluated. All victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
Cory Holker was contacted by Rancho Cucamonga deputies and believed to be under the influence at the time of the collision.
Holker was being held on suspicion of felony drunk driving causing injury.
