Woman arrested for assault after hitting another woman with a wine glass in Temecula

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

Shortly after midnight on September 2nd, officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to Rancho Springs Hospital concerning an injured patient.  On arrival, officers spoke with an woman who told them she was in a fight with another woman at a party.

Further investigation revealed that the victim attended a birthday party at a residence in Temecula.  During the party, the victim and Sara Baroody, age 23, started arguing.  While arguing, Baroody hit the victim with a closed fist.  Baroody and the victim then started hitting each other, and Baroody picked up a wine glass and hit the victim with it.

Officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to the location where the incident occurred and located Baroody and a witness.  The witness described the incident as the victim explained it to officers.

Sara Baroody was taken into custody and later booked into the Southwest Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon.
