Announcement from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
The Lake Elsinore Police Department will be conducting increased traffic control operations in support of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro-Motocross Championships, to be held at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park at 31919 Cereal Street in Lake Elsinore.
Drivers in the vicinity of Mission Trail, between Bundy Canyon Road and Diamond Drive, should expect addition traffic and possible delays on Saturday, September 8th. The Police Department and event organizers expect incoming traffic to be constant between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and noon, and again from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. as the race finishes.
Drivers not attending this event are encouraged to seek alternate routes during these times.
The Lake Elsinore Police Department will place officers at several locations close to the venue to assist in traffic flow. Police are asking the public to be patient with the possible traffic congestion and follow officers’ instructions.
Additionally, event organizers will be placing “No Parking” signs on Corydon Street between Mission Trail and Gardener Street 24 hours prior to the event. Any vehicle parked in violation of these signs will be subject to citation and towing.
