Announcement from the Riverside Police Department:

2012-09-26-riv-safety-fair.jpgThe Riverside Police Department, in collaboration with numerous city, county, and state agencies, will be hosting the 15th annual Safety Fair at Castle Park in Riverside.  To commemorate our 15th year, we are celebrating our “Past, Present, and Future”.

The Safety Fair provides families of our community with fun and interactive ideas for safe living.  Families will also have an opportunity to interact with a variety of police and fire personnel.

Participating agencies include: Inland Empire Safe Kids, California Highway Patrol, Home Depot, Riverside Fire Department, Riverside YMCA, Sam’s Club, and many more.

In addition, we’ve added some “past” to the event, a collection of classic police and fire units including a 1952 Vintage Ford police car from Fontana Police Department.

The daylong event will also feature a police helicopter, vehicle and motorcycle displays, child fingerprinting, and a variety of fun and free activities for children.

Free drawings will be held throughout the day that includes bicycles, Nintendo DS systems, and various gift certificates.

Children that visit several safety booths will receive a discount on an unlimited ride pass to Castle Park.

The Safety Fair is on Saturday, October 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Castle Park is located at 3500 Polk Street, in the La Sierra area of Riverside.
