Man critically injured after mini-bike collides with minivan in Moreno Valley

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on September 2nd, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to a major injury traffic collision on Indian Avenue at Summerfield Drive in Moreno Valley.  Upon their arrival, officers determined a 36-year-old man was riding a mini-bike westbound on Summerfield Drive when it collided with a minivan that was southbound on Indian Avenue.

Moreno Valley Fire Department and AMR Paramedics responded and treated the man, who had suffered major trauma.  He was transported to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The 57-year-old male driver and 52-year-old female passenger in the minivan were uninjured.

Members of the Moreno Valley Police Department’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded and investigated the collision.
