Burglars drive through the Apple Store at Promenade Mall in Temecula

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

At around 5:00 a.m. on September 6th, unknown suspects drove their vehicle through the front door and security gate of the Apple Store at the Promenade Mall in Temecula.  The store was closed at the time and no employees were present.

Once inside the store, several suspects exited the vehicle and attempted to steal various electronics.  The vehicle was stuck inside the store because of the security gate.  The driver rammed the gate several times, trying to dislodge it.  He was finally able to break it free and drive away.

Employees have been conducting an inventory during the day to determine the extent of the theft.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
