Armed men hold up cell phone store in Redlands, escape with merchandise

News headline from the Redlands Police Department:

Redlands Police are investigating following an armed robbery at a cell phone store in downtown Redlands September 9th.

Police responded to the robbery call at the T-Mobile store in the 500 block of Orange Street shortly after 11:00 a.m. on September 9th.  Witnesses reported that two robbers entered the store armed with handguns.  The robbers told a customer in the store to get on the ground and forced employees to the back of the store.

They took merchandise from the store and fled in an unknown direction.

The robbers are described as black males in their 20s, both about 6 feet tall.  One man wore a black hooded sweatshirt and the other a red hooded sweatshirt.

No injuries were reported.
