Riverside County was hit by a sudden storm that brought lightning, thunder, rain and hail to areas of Riverside, near UC Riverside, and flooding to Moreno Valley.
The most serious damage was in the area of Cactus Avenue and Oliver Street where firefighters were called to a vehicle with water reported up to the windows. There were several flooded streets in the area.
The storm started with strong wind in Riverside around 2:30 p.m., by 2:52 p.m. Moreno Valley was in the midst of a heavy downpour.
The video on the right shows the drive home for one person who lives in Moreno Valley, and the strong wind on Chicago Avenue in Riverside.
