Riverside man arrested after gun shot during cleaning kills woman in Magnolia Center neighborhood

2012-08-18-map-riv.JPGShortly before 6:00 p.m. on August 17th, the Riverside Police Department Communications Center received a 911 call for a woman that had just been shot inside a residence in the 6100 block of Elenor Street, in a Magnolia Center neighborhood.   When officers arrived they found a woman suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she died from her wound.

Based on preliminary investigation, it is believed that the homeowner was attempting to clean a handgun when he fired a round striking the victim.

Shane Dansie, 34, of Riverside, was interviewed by Homicide Investigators, arrested, and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for one count of involuntary manslaughter and one count of child endangerment.
