Lake Elsinore burglary leads to pursuit and arrest of two parolees

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

2012-08-11-lak12-0810-blancartetravis.jpgAt around 8:00 a.m. on August 10th, a resident in the 33000 block of Case Street in Lakeland Village noticed a green Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with out-of-state plates drive up to their neighbor’s home.  Two men got out of the truck and entered the home through the backyard, removed items from the house, and drove off.

Deputies located the suspect vehicle on Grand Avenue and Arrbolado Lane and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.  The suspects sped away and deputies followed.

The vehicle was found abandoned on Lost Road, north of Lemon Street, and the driver was taken into custody without incident.  The second suspect fled northbound on foot.

A perimeter was established by responding officers, and the second suspect was located on the property of a residence in the 32000 block of Navajo Springs Road.  The second suspect was taken into custody without incident.

2012-08-11-lak12-0810-ramosrichard.jpgThe driver of the vehicle, Travis Blancarte (pictured top right), 30, of Lake Elsinore, was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, ex-felon in possession of ammunition, and evading.

The passenger, Richard Ramos (pictured bottom right), 30, of Lake Elsinore, was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and ex-felon in possession of ammunition.  Ramos is currently on county probation, and was released from state prison custody under the state’s Post-Release Community Supervision program.
