An earthquake measuring 2.9 struck in the area of Big Bear this morning, August 17th, at 8:49 a.m.
The USGS reported the quake as being centered 4 miles from Big Bear Lake and 6 miles from Big Bear City.
It was followed by a 1.8 about an hour later.
There have been no reports of property damage or injuries.
