Suspect in armed robbery of sporting goods store apprehended in Jurupa Valley

2012-07-07-jvs12-0707-1-ashleyteresaharris201229262.jpgAt around 1:00 p.m. on July 7th, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Police Department received a call of an armed robbery in progress at the 3 Kings Sport retail store located on the 7900 block of Limonite Avenue near Clay Street in Jurupa Valley.  By the time Deputies arrived at the store, the suspect had fled.  Witnesses reported that the suspect was a younger black female adult with a thin build.

Deputies conducted an area check and located the suspect near Mission  Boulevard and Riverview Drive.  The suspect was identified as Ashly Teresa Harris, 22, of Jurupa Valley.

Upon further investigation, deputies identified Harris as the suspect in another burglary at Kmart in the same shopping center.

Harris was arrested for the attempted armed robbery and burglary.  She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Robert Presley Detention Center.

No one was injured during either of these two incidents.
