String of burglaries in Temecula results in search warrant; two arrested and property recovered

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

Officers from the Temecula Police Department have been investigating a series of residential burglaries in Temecula between June 23rd and July 4th.  Police were subsequently able to identify the suspects in these cases and obtain a search warrant for their residence.

At around 5:00 p.m. on July 5th, officers and investigators from the Temecula Police Department, as well as the Riverside County Gang Task Force, served the search warrant in the 32800 block of Tully Ranch Road in Temecula, a short distance from Vail Ranch Middle School.  Stolen property from the burglaries and illegal drugs were recovered from the residence.

Amberdina Trujillo, 29, and Stephen Peterson, 44, were arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, credit card theft, and child endangerment.  A state parole hold was also placed on Peterson.
