San Jacinto man beaten and robbed of cash; assailant fled in car

News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:

2012-07-06-map-state-7th-san-jacinto.JPGShortly before 5:00 p.m. on July 5th, officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to the 700 block of South State Street in San Jacinto regarding an assault which had just occurred.

The officers found the victim, a forty-two year old male, who had multiple cuts and bruises which he said were a result of being beaten and robbed.

The victim said he was lured to the location by an adult Indian male suspect, 5′7″ tall weighing approximately 140 lbs, who punched him repeatedly then stole an undisclosed amount of cash from his wallet.  The suspect fled the scene in a blue car, unknown make or model.

The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.
