News headline from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
At around 4:15 p.m. on July 30th, officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to the 600 block of South State Street in San Jacinto regarding a reported carjacking.
The victim reported that just a few minutes prior, he was seated in his vehicle when he was approached by a man who asked for a lighter and engaged in a brief conversation. The man suddenly showed the victim a small black and silver semi-automatic handgun and pressed it against the victim’s ribcage. The victim gave the suspect his keys and got out of his car. The victim saw the suspect drive out of the parking lot.
The suspect was described as white or Hispanic male, in his 20’s, about 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, thin build, multiple tattoos, gauged ears, last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black shorts, white knee socks, and black shoes.
