La Quinta Police are searching for two suspects who got away after trying to drown the homeowner during a home invasion robbery.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on July 28th, officers from the La Quinta Police Department responded to a report of a home invasion robbery in the 47000 block of Dancing Butterfly in La Quinta, south of Highway 111.
The 63-year-old male victim stated that on July 27th, he was inside the bathroom when he heard noises in the kitchen. The victim was approached by two Hispanic men who attacked him and tried to drown him in the bathtub. The victim fought back and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The suspects were described as:
Suspect # 1- Hispanic male adult, 25 to 30 years-old, 5′-11″, 210 lbs., heavy-set, wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, dark hair, medium complexion and wearing dark gloves.
Suspect # 2- Hispanic male adult, 20 to 25 years-old, 5′-09″, 165 lbs., thin build, brown hair, brown eyes, and wearing blue jeans with black gloves.
