arliekibbie.jpgArlie Walton “Bud” Kibbie born 9/5/1928 in Fairmont, WV, passed away on 7/2/2012 at the Loma Linda VA Hospital after a long battle with COPD.

He served in the Air Force for 8 years in the 1950’s. He was a well-known property owner in Rubidoux and started Bud’s Furniture in 1954 and then Rudioux Radiator in the 1970’s. He married Julia “Jeri” Jameson, his sweetheart of over 59 years while in the service. Together, they ran the businesses and raised 4 children.

He was peceded in death by son Arlie Wilbert.

He is survived by daughter-in-law Charlene Kibbie; children, Randy (Judy), Ricky, and Margaret Chabot (Roland); 8 grandchildren, Randy Jr. (Laura), Ryan (Lori), Ashlee (Pete), Arlie Jr. (Briley), Kyle (Rhana), Mylaina (Shaun), Julie (Tim), Sabrina (Dave). Also, 15 great-grand-children.

He will be remembered for his humor, his thoughtfulness and his compassion for helping others without needing to be thanked or recognized for it.

Viewing will be at the Rubidoux Mortuary on Thursday, July 12 from 4pm-8pm. Graveside service on Friday, July 13 at 2:15pm at the Riverside National Cemetery. Reception to follow at the VFW Hall on Mission Blvd. in Glen Avon.
